Everything we do at Chetwynd is about providing our children with an excellent education and enriching experiences to promote a love of learning. Our aim for our school community is to strive to be better than our best!

We think Chetwynd is a very special place to be because of our wonderful children. We strive to provide the very highest standards of education within a caring, exciting and stimulating environment.

We want our children to be excited by the curriculum and challenged to achieve their full potential. We want our children to enjoy their learning and feel valued. By working closely with our parents and governors, we ensure that all our children have an excellent start to their educational journey.

We hope that our website captures the spirit of Chetwynd and the rich and varied opportunities children receive at our school.

Parents are warmly welcomed to come in and help so please drop in and chat to a member of staff.

Year 10 Work Experience Placement:

Dear Mrs Tonks,

I am writing this letter to thank you very much for the chance to work with you during my work experience last week.

I really enjoyed my time with you and found the whole week beneficial for me for the next couple of years in my school life.

I especially liked working with the different aged children and learning how to communicate with them.

I also enjoyed the children asking me about my school and questions about topics I have studied, my time with Chetwynd Primary Academy will be very useful to my GCSE studies and it will help me decide what career path to choose.

Please pass on my regards and best wishes to everyone who made my time with you worthwhile, particularly Mr Fry and Miss Corbett whp I was with during most of the time whilst with you.

Once again, many thanks and good wishes to you all.

I just wanted to congratulate you on the wonderful sports day you arranged this morning.

It was so well run. Everyone knew just what they were doing. I can tell that you had put lots of time and effort into the planning for it.

The children were having a great time. I especially loved hearing them cheering on their school mates in the races at the end! It was a great atmosphere.

It was a fabulous morning.

Well done to everyone!
